To which Republican leadership are you referring? The leadership that stranded a bunch of court nominees for several years? The leadership that hasn't done anything for the past six years but dance around the illegal immigration issue when it was supposedly in power?
I see no difference between the situation as it stood for the past six years, and the situation as it is now. ...except for the possibility that the Republicans will finally have to get off their collective asses and fight just to maintain the status quo.
I'm betting we're exactly where we are now, two years from now, with a decent shot of reclaiming the majority. ...not that anything will likely change when that happens.
