Not sure, doubtful she will get a lot of jail time on one misdeameanor count
They estimate she was going 65 MPH.
And she got out of her car telling anybody who would listen that it was all her fault.
From everything that I've seen reported, there was no indication of excessive speed/reckless driving nor were there any alcohol or drugs involved.
While the outcome was tragic, it was, from all indications, nothing more than an accident. (AFAIK, people commonly get prosecuted for causing accidents which result in a loss of life.)
She was doing 65 on the highway - the traffic in front of her had slowed and she realized it too late. She was driving a Range Rover.
