N. Korea: Kim Jong-nam May Have Turned up in Macau -- Japanese Media
(Tokyo = Yonhap news) Shin Jihong = A man who is possibly Kim Jong-nam, the eldest son of N. Korean leader Kim Jong-il, had turned up in Macau on Jan. 30, according to Japanese media on Jan. 31, quoting diplomatic sources
The sources pointed out the possibility that his trip to Macau could be related to U.S.-N. Korea meeting on (N. Korean) finance which had started on the same day in Beijing, while N. Korean accounts totaling $24 million at a Macau bank, Banco Della Asia (BDA), are still frozen under U.S.'s financial sanction.
The sources also said that Kim Jong-nam opened his account at a major bank in Hong Kong under the name of 'Kim Chol' in 2005.' They said that Kim Jong-nam could go to Hong Kong as well, because "For some reason, he was asked by the bank to provide explanation on his account."
The account in Hong Kong is not under U.S. sanction, but it is possible that it is suspected to be part of the slush funds he manages, according to Yomiuri Shimbun.
The man, who claims to be Kim Jong-nam, wore sunglasses and fashioned short hairstyle like crew cut. When asked by reporters from Yomiuri, he replied, "I am staying in Macau since Jan. 28. I came here alone." When pressed about the purpose of his trip, he repeatedly said, I came here for vacation," according to the paper.

So how much of frozed funds would they get back? In return for what? Is this a gesture to appease Nancy and her gang in Capitol Hill?

Re #5
Sung Hye-rim, a woman who was an actress, older than Chia Pet and a married woman at the time. She died in Moscow due to her illness. Reportedly Kim Jong-nam went there and buried her in a Moscow cemetry. By that time, Kim Jong-il was living with Ko Yong-hee, the mother of Jong-chol and Jong-un, the two younger sons of Kim Jong-il.

The photo of darkness in North Korea is just western propaganda. Everybody in North Korea goes to bed shortly after dark to conserve electricity. This helps the environment. (sarcasm)
