Thank God!!!!!!!!!!! I must admit that I am all for this. I find this the biggest waste of money the United States has ever spent. Just my opinion which is not going to change so don't even try....Thanks for trying though....

That's not going to sit well with a number of space and aeronautical industry unions.

If NASA was spending its money on research and science instead of third-rate P.R. (a.k.a "return to the Moon"), I'd feel a lot more sympathetic.

Weldon is good on NASA, but nobody listens to him. If a Dem sits in the White House in 2009 the Moon, Mars and Beyond program won't be a consideration since it will be gone. Congress will be concerned with NEO since that is where the military interests will be for a long time to come. The Treaty will continue to stifle private space development forever.

Fellow Freepers,

Your opinion of NASA management, or the whole concept of NASA at all, is of secondary importance in this case.

The democrats are punishing the states that didn't vote for them. They're giving the NASA money to promote AIDS "awareness" (the people that DID vote for them).

Would you like to speculate about who else on the Democrats "enemies list" will be next? Who will be rewarded?

The answer is easy, most NASA employees are conservative.

Of course! Why would the Democrats fund something elitist like space exploration when they could fund something really important like new TVs for welfare bums or needles for drug addicts?

NASA should immediately layoff, and thus toss the entire failure of the present and future space program into the dims faces.

I never really thought that taking our country back, by force, would happen in my lifetime, but the way these dims are going, I almost look forward to the day.

Well, we will see what Nelson, Butch Mikulski, and Steny Hoyer will do for thier constituents. However, most people who work at NASA HQ are libs and gladly voted for the Dem leadership. Now they get to worry about their jobs.

They will fail.
