I agree. I think homosexuality, like alcoholism, is an addiction that can be treated. However the success rate of treatment is probably low for both addictions.

I'm sure people have pre-disposed tendancies toward their sexual preferences. But so do serial murderers and rapists. I'm not sayihng being a homosexual is the same as a rapist, but why is it ok to talk about treatment for rapists, pedophiles, and murderers, but not homosexuals?

I believe it is a sin, but how it starts varies. I can name one case that absolutely DID NOT begin as a desire for sex. It began as a desire for friendship and a place to belong. Unfortunately these were BAD friends with perverse intentions.

It did not even end as an addiction. It ended as the requirements of a place to live other than home. Very sad.

Oh...and not even ministers have the guts to help cases like I just described. They are too afraid of being labeled a "hater" to see what is really before them.
