Hillary Clinton Buying Black Vote for $200,000
NewsMax ^ | 16 February 2007

Posted on 02/15/2007 11:54:08 PM PST by Aussie Dasher

The press reported on Tuesday that Sen. Hillary Clinton had scored a coup in the presidential race by winning the endorsement of a key black political leader in South Carolina, state Sen. Darrell Jackson.

Now it has come to light that just days earlier, Clinton’s campaign reached a deal to pay Jackson’s consulting firm $10,000 a month through the 2008 elections – a deal worth more than $200,000.

"Jackson had also been in talks with Sen. Barack Obama’s campaign about endorsing him and entering into a consulting contract for more than $5,000, sources said – raising questions about whether Jackson’s endorsement was bought by a higher bidder,” the New York Post reported.

Jackson – who is also the minister of a large church in the state capital, Columbia – acknowledged that he should have revealed his financial dealings with the Clinton campaign when he and fellow state Sen. Robert Ford, who is also African-American, endorsed Clinton.

But he told the Post: "It’s not about the money – there were some other candidates who offered to double [Clinton’s] offer,” Jackson told the Post, although he declined to name them.

Support from black voters is key in South Carolina, where 49 percent of the Democratic presidential primary vote came from blacks in 2004. The state will host the first Southern primaries for both the Democrats and the GOP in 2008.

raising questions

I love euphemisms.

"It’s not about the money – there were some other candidates who offered to double [Clinton’s] offer,” Jackson told the Post,

Notice how he implicitly acknowledges the existence of an auction. The higher offers must've had poorer credit - or maybe they bailed.

Pay to Play, nothing new for Hillary and her HINO.

Let's see how this is covered by the MSM.

Ha!

If Rudy is the best candidate who can keep Her Heinous, Queen Hillary from claiming her throne, so be it.

Stop the insanity now!

BS!! It's always about the money. Politicians, Dems and Reps, are all bought and paid for. Some just hide it better than others.

And I personally, am disgusted by it.

"black ministers", so called are... well nothing new to report.

Always given a pass thanks to the MSM.
How about seperation of church and state?
The symbiotic relatio between black churches and the liberal Dems is a given. Keeping the sheeple on the plantation.

It's a disgusting double standard. .

Hillary has always been there for black people...

Conveniently Forgotten Facts.
By Paul Harvey

Back in 1969 a group of Black Panthers decided that a fellow black panther named Alex Rackley needed to die. Rackley was suspected of disloyalty. Rackley was first tied to a chair. Once safely immobilized, his friends tortured him for hours by, among other things, pouring boiling water on him.

When they got tired of torturing Rackley, Black Panther member Warren Kimbo took Rackley outside and put a bullet in his head. Rackley's body was later found floating in a river about 25 miles north of New Haven , Connecticut.

Perhaps at this point you're curious as to what happened to these Black Panthers? In 1977, that's only eight years later, only one of the killers was still in jail.

The shooter, Warren Kimbro, managed to get a scholarship to Harvard and became good friends with none other than Al Gore. He later became an assistant dean at an Eastern Connecticut State College Isn't that something?

As a '60s radical you can pump a bullet into someone's head and a few years later, in the same state, you can become an assistant college dean! Only in America !!

Erica Huggins was the woman who served the Panthers by boiling the water for Mr. Rackley's torture. Some years later Ms. Huggins was elected to a California School Board. How in the world do you think these killers got off so easily?

Maybe it was in some part due to the efforts of two people who came to the defense of the Panthers. These two people actually went so far as to shut down Yale University with demonstrations in defense of the accused Black Panthers during their trial.

One of these people was none other than Bill Lan Lee. Mr. Lee, or Mr. Lan Lee, as the case may be, isn't a college dean. He isn't a member of a California School Board. He is now head of the United States Justice Department's Civil Rights Division, appointed by none other than Bill Clinton.

O.K., so who was the other Panther defender? Is this other notable Panther defender now a school board member? Is this other Panther apologist now an assistant college dean? No,neither!

The other Panther defender was, like Lee, a radical law student at Yale University at the time. She is now known as The "smartest woman in the world."

She is none other than the Democratic senator from the State of New York---- our former First Lady, the incredible Hillary Rodham Clinton.

And now, "You know the rest of the story".
Pass this on! This deserves the widest possible press.

Also remember it, when, she runs for President.

Do endorsements actually work? Who votes for someone based on an endorsement from someone else?

The black 'Rat vote is 90% of 11% of the electorate. If one needs 51% to win, then the black vote is (.9 x .11) / .51 = 19% of the votes needed to win. If Hill is going to spend $200MM total (a low estimate) then the total black vote is worth at least $38MM to her. $200K is just priming the well.
