I think she has been smoking the begonia.
(My favorite story at the site is the one about the polar bear dying of heat exhaustion before "Jeremiah Johnson" could shoot it.)

For those of us who live in the South, we know Kudzu. Kudzu grows like an unchained beast (kind of like government spending, got the picture?). I have heard stories of roots forty feet long and growth rates of up to a foot a day.

Getting rid of the stuff is a lesson in persistent attacks of Round-Up, grubbing out and burning if possible. It has been growing like this since some do-gooder brought it into this country about 80 years ago. It just loves our abundant sunshine, heat, moisture and fertile soil here in the South. It has been growing at prodigious rates since it arrived. The rate of growth has not increased due to CO2--it is already at warp speed!

I have seen take over cars, sheds, fences, etc. The first frost and all the leaves die leaving a tangled mess of thick woody vine stems.

Some old timers are afraid to stand still near a field of Kudzu. They fear being swallowed up by the stuff ;-)

P.S.This article is bull diddle.
