I read just yesterday that they were considering the same thing someplace else (I don't remember where). In discussing the issue, someone pointed out that the word is falling out of public use by whites, but he was sure that it was still thought by whites.

I haven't yet seen any proposals that would ban thinking certain things, although the way things are, I wouldn't be surprised if that isn't next.

What's the "n-word?" How can this author convey the meaning of the ban if he can't even bring himself to use the word in question? What if it was impolite to use the word "murder" and "dead" in public?

Man Found Lying On Ground, Stiff and Cold

A man, looking the worse for wear, was found lying in a New York City subway terminal this morning. Police suspect that an unknown assailant did something not very nice to the man.

Why stop with just banning one word - we should pick some more.. maybe "taxes" or "Gore"
