Shake and bake time. I still think a total shutdown of Sadr City would send the message out. No one enters, and no one leaves. These people (lots of real how should I say, poor getto type folk live in this rat trap.
The sooner they realize the Mahdi army and Sadr has no control over things, the sooner they may in mass realize it is time to think about throwing down their arms.
Let them fester for a while. If no one can get out, then none of the death squads will be effective in moving about freely between this slum and other parts of the capital and surrounding towns.
If you are caught climbing over some wall or a fence to try to slip out of an alley and into a canal and slip out of the slum, you get a bullet between the eyes.
Sadr's control (real or imagined) must be broken. Speaking of. It appears this clown is still being consulted. What the heck is Maliki trying to prove. Sadr already has stabbed him in the back a number of times.
