Rush just ran two stories and the positioning of the stories brought an interesting question to mind.
Al Gore apparently wastes fuel like a sonofagun but says it's okay because he buys "carbon offset credits" designed to excuse his fuelish habits. Then it turns out the company he buys credits from is one that HE OWNS! So he buys shares of his own company to cleanse his soul over the abuse of energy resources he would condemn if you or I did it.
So, how many carbon offset credits do I have to buy in order to nuke an offending country? Sure, it would leave a hell of a carbon footprint to turn, say, Iran, into a sheet of glass but I'd love to do it and be spared the shameful stares of the environazis by saying "look, I bought all these carbon offset credits...so it's okay!"
Wouldn't it be so fun to eliminate an entire country of Islamic nuts and claim at the same time that I was "saving the planet" in the process??
One little pre-emptive nuke could actually save the world many more nukes and dirty bombs much closer to home. It would be a patriotic act.
So, Al, quote me a price and let me know what my cost for environmental absolution is. That way, I can nuke a nation the environmentally sensitive way.

You could offer to sell Tall_Texan a few sarcasm offset credits...
Of course you can...the best way is to start a company of your own that sells carbon credits...then pay that company for all the credits you need, then spend the money on a new car, or maybe some "green" stocks so that you can make a few bucks...it works for ALGORE.
