THIS is why we need Arnold in CA and Republican presidents, to foil the Dems Marxist dictatorial control plans for us.

Those who still bash Arnold should consider, that Angelides would already have signed this dreadful bill, he said he would.

Yes, she's the leader, in fact is probably the only one right now, promoting a single-payer (i.e., govnernment) health system.

The question isn't what would the Weasel have done but rather what would a conservative, Republican governor have done if the ship of CAGOP fools hadn't closed the Republican primary and blindly supported an Austrian liberal .

The CAGOP leadership has screwed California Republicans and no amount of spin can hide the dirty deed. The CAGOP enabled a European liberal and now must now live with all his baggage.

Kuehl's central goal in Senate Bill 840 is to eliminate health insurance companies -- which she says ring up excessive profits and offer substandard coverage

Why not just nationalize the insurance companies and keep the profits? Ooops, I forgot, CA is a state, not a nation.

As one who has frequently said that "at least Arnold is better than Davis, Bustamante, or Angelides," I'm still terribly disappointed with Schwarzenegger.

On the other hand, it doesn't matter what McClintock would do, because he can't get elected to statewide office in the People's Republic of California.

The return of 'Zelda-Care'.

Sheila's chair of the Senate health sub-committee, which held a hearing on the Governor's bill two weeks ago. Just watching her, it was evident that she intended to try to torpedo any chance of a more moderate bill passing. You'd think they'd have learned the lesson from 'one bill Gil's' pursuit of drivers licenses for aliens, but once again the Demos are taking an "if I can't have what I want, I'm taking my ball and going home" approach.

So, once again, if Sheila succeeds, her constituents, who claims to care so deeply about, will be deprived of health coverage. What the heck, Sheila, it's just a few thousand tragic outcomes for patients, nowhere near as important as your petty political agenda.

Kuehl must have had a previous girl friend who worked in the health care industry. She prolly jilted poor old Sheila.

Insurance companies are arrogant, evil monstrosities that own the politicians. The only thing worse than having insurance companies pay for our health care would be to have the government pay for it.

In the end, I think Arnold will sign it. He has already agreed in principle to a government role in health care so what's left to be resolved are the details. Since we're going to have the government involved, we might as well go full hog. I don't agree with Sheila Kuehl but since the Governor's own proposal is full of mandates, I don't see a great deal of difference between that and single payer. Its mostly a difference of labeling.
