Again, Coulter is not a public official. She has the freedom to speak just like Alec Baldwin had when he called for the public stoning of Rep. Henry Hyde. I'm sure that Democratic leaders back then denounced Baldwin's remarks.
Conservatives need to fight back and hard at the left. As another poster pointed out, this is why we have been losing ground.
Not a big fan of Coulter, but defending her right to be obnoxious is not in our best interests, nor is attacking her for what she said.(which I thought was funny, BTW...She needed a subject to bring the "faggot" joke into play, and she picked Edward's girly man image to do it, and it worked with me)
But I'm not going to defend her against a Liberal/conservative righteously embarrassed attack, she can do that herself. She has done it, and had to do it, many times before, and will continue.
I don't think her joke deserves any response at all, except perhaps a wry grin....:-)
