Baghdadi was above al-Masri the leader of al-Qaeda in Iraq. Baghdadi was the leader of the Islamic State in Iraq which is a coalition of insurgent groups including al-Qaeda, the Islamic Army in Iraq, Ansar al-Sunna, and dozens of other smaller Islamic Extremist groups.

I wonder if Al-Masri dropped a dime on him after a squabble? It wouldn't be the first time something like that happened with Al Qaeda. It's a convenient was to get rid of someone who's ostensibly above you when you're not getting along.
