For people who don't know it, Adnan Al-Dulaimi and his so called Iraqi National Accord make Sadr and his militias look like angels! Dulaimi and his group have been implicated in countless number of kidnappings, including kidnapping westerners (case in mind is Jill Caroll).
I think it is sad that Allawi allies himself with such people.

Thanks for the ping. I had read the article yesterday.
The tide is actually turning in Iraqi politics for the better. The old sectarian driven parties will become a thing of the past in due time. Sure they will have a few but chances are many will join into new aggregates as we see

Whoops.
happening between the mentioned parties. Clearly Iraqi from all walks of life are seeing more and more a guy like Allawi with non-sectarian ties and a strong desire to rebuild his nation along more western lines will surface as the eventual winners. Iraqi for the most part no different then any other group of people want strong honest leadership.
This new coalition of the willing is a great step in the right direction I am sure most of us would agree.
