Connecticut has answered the call!

Zelig and I cancelled the plans we had for March 17... we WILL be joining you at The Gathering of Eagles on March 17. Plus, we convinced friends of ours from Montreal, Canada (who are actually dual citizens of the United States and Canada) to fly to DC for the Gathering. We see them once a year at CPAC. It is actually kind of a big deal for them to take time off work and return to the DC area within just a couple of weeks, but they are very eager to take part in the Gathering of Eagles.

I'm sorry to be a pest, but I must ask about some specifics... I did read the Gathering of Eagles Mission Statement and the information tgslTakoma has posted at the top of this thread.

The Gathering of Eagles isn't a rally or counter-rally, correct? Our only purpose will be to protect the Memorials from desecration, damage, and dishonor?

The "rally location" or meeting point for FReepers will be at Constitution Gardens, which is on the East side of the Vietnam Memorial (Wall). This is where the DC Chapter will have a check-in table for FReepers?

What to bring: American flags and signs? Are wooden and other poles OK for the flags and signs? I'm asking this because we were very restricted in our NYC rallies... our signs had to have cardboard "sticks" believe it or not because of the permits there.

Signs for March 17 should be i.e.,: "God Bless Our Troops" or... something "stronger" targeted to the moonbats? If you'd rather FReepmail me with sign ideas, please do so!

Thank you so much... for ALL that you do! :o)

That is great news!

We'll have details to announce soon. Just waiting on the Park Service to get things right.
