Washington, D.C. (AHN) - A new report alleges that the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) operated a detention facility for terror suspects in Poland, with the approval of the United Kingdom.
According to an internal memo reportedly from British Prime Minister Tony Blair to Poland's then-Prime Minister Leszek Miller, the base, which was used from 2002 to 2004, was to be kept a secret from the government in Warsaw.
The findings come in a report from the Raw Story, which claims the suspects were held at a Cold War-era military base near the village of Stare Kiejkuty.
The European Union has already called member states to task over their allowing "overflights" of suspected terror subjects. The overflights meant the CIA or other American agency could use their airspace to move the detainees.
Due to the nature in which the U.S. detains terror suspects, the EU has ruled such prisoners are being denied proper human rights, and member states cooperating with Washington are in violation of the Union's laws.
Well isn't that special.
Holy Cow -- the CIA trying to keep a secret?? Wow, the MSM sure got a hot catch on this one!!! I have never heard of such a thing --- the CIA and secrecy...major discovery.
Secrets in wartime! Well, we certainly can't have anything like that!
The only secrets allowed are bill clinton's medical records and Jean Kerry's Form 180.
Also, why that Brilliant Rhodes Scholar was fired from Oxford with no credit or grades after a single semester, and what he was doing touring through the USSR at the height of the Vietnam War.
And while we're at it, how did Vince Foster get into the middle of Fort Marcy Park without getting any dirt on the bottoms of his shoes? And how much did the Chinese Communists pay Bill Clinton for fixing their MIRVed ICBMs for them? Oops, highly classified!!!
AND... how the heck did sKerry get that darn CIA hat he carries in his briefcase.... <:P
