Since you have the SAS with the DAK I'm surprised you didn't get the HK with the LEM. :)

The New York Post is waffling on the second amendment again. They were pretty good, but then Bloomberg started his illegal straw purchase campaign. The Post jumped on the bandwagon, printing the usual liberal crap about the easy availability of handguns, saturday night specials, etc. Now they are back to promoting firearms ownership.

There must be some very interesting politics in the editorial board there.

The SAS was so purdy (no rail), I had to have it, and I wanted a different trigger configuration for variety.

My range gun is the P226 ST. At 42 ozs. it's a dream to shoot with very little recoil or muzzle flip.

As for the HK P2000 V3 it's the only ambi-decocker that's not striker fire.

I put a lot of thought into my firearms selection based on their attributes meeting my requirements. The X5 is beautiful but my wife would file for divorce if I bought a $2,500 toy.

Oh well...

Nice setup, and a nice looking gun.

I hope everybody is lucky enough to find a firearm that fits them like this one fits me.

The key words in your statement is "fits me."

So many folks think their gun is "the best." If it doesn't fit the shooter, then it can't be the "best." Therefore, there is no such thing as a "best" gun. It's a very personal choice that most (especially Glock) folks don't understand.

My buddy loves his Kimber but it doesn't do much for me . Regardless, his Kimber is best for him, my Sig is best for me.

Cheers.

Ahhh. A Hi-Power. A classic gun. HPs were probably the most popular 9mm in the 1970s.

My college roommate bought one in 1970...(?) and had it for years. He traded it for a Kimber. He should have kept the HP and just shelled out $$$ for the Kimber. He loves his Kimber, but misses his old HP.

Cheers.

Sweet. It looks like it's ready for business!

I think S&W and Springfield Armory are going to do a world of hurt on Glock's striker-fire Tupperware market share. Question: does the XP have a polygonal barrel like Glock and HK?

I see the grip safety, and think that's a good idea in preventing ADs which Glocks seem more prone to have.

"So many choices... so little money..."

The XD has a traditional rifled barrel so one can shoot lead without concern. Aside from capacity (12+1) the big thing I like about it is tactile loaded chamber and striker indicators. You know you're good to go even in the dark.

Bumping some wise words. And it works both ways - I had a little Firestar I loved but I simply could NOT shoot the dang thing. Mostly stovepipes and I was not limp-wristing. My gunsmith brother said that there are harmonics within the body that can drive you nuts and that the only cure is to change the piece's weight or recoil spring enough to offset it or find another gun. He has it now and has no problems with it at all. Maddening.

Actually I have a couple of those too and I like them a lot - a Model 22 and a Model 19. What's cool about them is that although they're different calibers and different form factors the same Kydex holster fits 'em both.

Dang it, a feller can't own enough guns!

Dang! I love this bar.

Where else can one just as likely read mention of "My gunsmith" as my banker, my broker, or my lawyer.

Why then do many MANY (Jews) advocate strict gun control or gun confiscations? That's what happened in Germany 1936. I try and tell them: If you're Jewish and you advocate gun control or you vote liberal democrat, you not only condone the FIRST Holocaust, you INVITE the second!

I've thought long and hard about that one, discussed it a bunch with people I know and don't know, and argued quite a bit with some family about it. Despite this, to this day I cannot fathom the mentality of any Jew who opposes the right of individual citizens to defend themselves and their family.

"In the early sixties, I used the rifle range at Dorsey H.S. in Watts. Wonder how many guns are at that school today?"

I hope you were a little smoother on the trigger than you are on the "Post" button ;-)
