I went to school in California and I got a very, very good public school education.

But then, Ronald Reagan was Governor. :)

Then CA schools were rated first in the country.

As did I. And the 1st thing we did every semester was to make book covers for the textbooks because they were used books 95% of the time. Other than field trips, why is so much money required?

re your post #9 - It does truly matter who is in office, and in charge, in terms of education. I have certainly come to believe that. People think it doesn't matter on this issue, but, really, a person can have a major impact. Or not.
