Almost every last PS teacher I had (and this in TN) was a liberal. Even one Republican teacher I had was a liberal RINO. My former fiancee, who was in the IL system, never had a Conservative teacher in her life (not until she entered private school). My half-sister is a PS teacher in CA and she is a Marxist political activist (Peace & Freedom Party). My grandmother was a PS teacher in the '30s and she was a hardcore leftist. So was a grand aunt of mine. The PS system actively discourages individuals who can think for themselves that don't toe the labor union line, therefore you rarely see Conservatives out in the open. I'm sure there are a few, but it's like trying to find one in Hollywood. If I had to make an estimate, I'd say 85% or greater are left of center.

LOL, I'm not a sir and your "if I had to make an estimate" only shows your bias.
No "bias", only reality. You ignored what I wrote in my own experience, including that of family members from different parts of the country (my grandmother taught in the MO schools, btw). I'd put up my "estimates" against other sources alleged "facts" any day of the week.
Tell me, if we ran a poll on FR, how many people do you think would honestly say there was a substantial presence of Conservative teachers in PUBLIC schools ? The very claim that there is is utterly laughable and flies in the face of reality. The teacher labor unions simply don't tolerate those that deviate from the liberal line. Most Conservatives won't go into that profession for that very reason. Try to prove me wrong, ma'am (btw, in 9 years on FR, only 2 people have disagreed with my conclusion, and you're the 2nd. The other person's experience was limited to a very small town. It's rather telling).
Oh, and yelling "whatever" like a petulent 12 year old isn't a valid rebuttal. Try something substantive.
I would have informed this Simi attacker guy calmly, 'At any time, at any place, our snipers can drop you. Have a nice day!'
