RIYADH, Saudi Arabia (AP) - Iran's foreign minister says Britain must admit that its 15 sailors and marines entered Iranian waters for the standoff to be resolved.

Vice Admiral Charles Style told reporters that the Iranians had provided a position on Sunday - a location that he said was in Iraqi waters. By Tuesday, Iranian officials had given a revised position about three km east, placing the British inside Iranian waters - a claim he said was not verified by global positioning system co-ordinates.

"It is hard to understand a legitimate reason for this change of co-ordinates," Style said.

He said the satellite co-ordinates of the British crew had been confirmed by an Indian-flagged merchant ship boarded by the sailors and marines.

Mottaki denied this, saying: "That's not true. It happened in Iranian territorial waters."

What will they do now? Change their mind and admit guilt or go in and get them out......hmmmm, they must know where they are, after seeing the pictures...one would think.

I think Britain should take some Muslims and make them wear a Cross or Star of David and put them on TV eating a ham dinner, singing the praises of Britain.

Correct. Tony Blair has stood by President Bush to the cost of his political career. At very least, that shows he's on the right side.

The expedient thing to do is to make the false admission, get the sailors out, and then bomb the crap out of them.

We don't want to do that while they're holding hostages.

Now, will the UK lie and say that they were in Iranian waters? I don't think so.

But I wouldn't have a problem with them doing so if they join in military action within a couple of days of the hostages release.

It would be a nice way of saying their apology was "just joking..."

America can't save a nation that doesn't want saving.

Go to the BBC website and see what the British muzzies are saying about this incident and you'll understand why Britain is lost.

he picked a successful strategy that Iran he had used before in 1979.

What's up with the ME's cartoonish display of masculinity? It's better than a parody - it has Western military psychologists & analysts working overtime developing profiles.

"Due to poor skippering by a captain of Her Majesty's fleet, our small flotilla made an inadvertent course correction that actually minimally entered Iran waters. "

There , fixed it.

Due to superior skippering by a captain of Her Majesty's fleet, our small flotilla made an unexpected course correction that actually confused the Iranian forces and they believed , in error, that we entered Iran waters and they are fortunate that the captain chose to show restraint.

I completely agree. I have every confidence that Mr. Blair is doing everything he can and looking at all options right now. Sometimes our fellow FRiends don't seem to understand the enormity of the situation nor the controlled restraint required at times like these while those in charge consider the options.

Shock, Outrage, BS!

I'll believe England is serious when I see tens of thousands of young men flocking to the colours to enlist and not before.

All that welfare and preferential treatment for the death cult was all for naught.

We do the same thing, are headed in the same direction.
