That's what you say. But think back to the EP-3 incident with the Red Chinese bastards back in 2001. Bush eventually caved. Blair may do so as well in this case.

And they would also like all the British citizens to grovel at their feet.

Followed by Americans

The name Reid comes to mind in concert with Hagel.

These guys are BEGGING to get nailed.

Respectfully, I'm not so sure. They kidnapped Brits, not Americans.

Are these for real, or are they doctored?

Hard to know, since so many newspapers are so Anti government (anti Bush/Blair and pro terrorists)

Finally nice to see, especially "This is unacceptable they squeaked"

The Iranian people wouldn't want apologies. They know that Her Majesty's fleet is run by skilled people. They would be the ones to make apologies for allowing the clerics and their puppet to get into power.

No apologies only bombs!

That's getting off pretty easy. In 1800, 20% of the US treasury per year went to paying off the Barbary coast pirates.

Just a question...are Muslim women allowed to smoke? I found it quite odd to see her puffing away with the kerchief on her head.

Do ignore the daily mirror rag that proclaimed 'outrage'.

Theiur editorial on Monday blamed BLAIR for this, for invading Iraq.

Aparet from that, a few of our papers see sense.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/1278243.stm

From the outset, China has demanded that Washington accept blame for the collision and apologise, but President George W Bush has refused to do so.

Instead, the US said it was "very sorry" about the loss of the Chinese pilot and "very sorry" the plane did not obtain permission before landing on Chinese territory.

China found the formula adequate to allow the crew to be released on 11 April.

Sky News just had a breaking story 15 minutes ago about the consular access, but they did not say that the servicewoman would NOT be released as was previously hinted at.

What happened was an Iranian spokesman stated that she might be released soon and then all the leftist progresso mullah-but-kissing media outlets the world over ran with, 'Iranians set to release the female sailor'.

If Britain gives into Iranian demands and states they were in Iranian waters there is no guarantee that all the sailors will be released. Iran needs to demonstrate good faith by releasing 1 of the hostages. Preferably the female.

Where they initially were is more or less immaterial to where they are being held now. Heck, we have Mexican soldiers cross our borders all the time. They never even get stopped.

Well, I hope they are not teated like this.

.------------------------------------------------------------------

USS Pueblo seized:

"Eleven months after the seizure North Korea repatriated 82 Pueblo crewmen and one set of remains to the United States through P'anmunjom. Upon signature of the US admitting to espionage in the coastal waters of the Sea of Japan, the 82 POWs were freed. Upon their return on 28 December, 1968, the crew was treated poorly by the public and the military and only in 1990 did they receive the POW ribbons to which they were entitled. The ship remains in Wonson Harbor, North Korea. "

Britain is not lost, but they are in a jam right now, that's for certain. We can only hope that Blair makes the right decisions that will save the lives of the hostages, while at the same time give the mullahs nothing for their criminal behavior.

Yeah, the mirror frontpage suprised me. I haven't read the rag in a good while, so I thought they might have changed.

Perhaps it's a good sign for the way the wind is blowing in the uk at the moment as the mirror is, like the Sun, unshamedly populist.

Sometimes our fellow FRiends don't seem to understand the enormity of the situation nor the controlled restraint required at times like these while those in charge consider the options.

They have had years to "consider the options."

What do you think SoD Rumsfeld was doing ?

The problem is a lack of political will to wage total war, especially in the Congress.

Iran smells it and, like any dog, they act accordingly.
