Either the guy doesn't understand the POTUS has limited powers, especially in dealing with the other branches of the government, and simply can't stop Pelosi from going except to ignore her and let the Syrians know she does not represent the State dept or speaks for the administration.

I re read the article and I dont see where there is any suggestion that the prez slap ms nancy in leg irons [what an appealing thought] and maybe the author is just sick and tired of Bush's cowardice in confronting the Dems.
From what I understand Mr. Bush is familiar with how telephones work, they have had them in Crawford for some time now, and he could actually have called this little traitorous bitch and read her the riot act. I have a feeling that is what someone like TR might have done. Fwiw Lincoln would have put her in prison for the duration, since this is clearly giving aid and comfort to the enemy.
