Pelosi speech to Knesset warmly received (MUST READ, you will not believe your eyes!!!)
JerusalemPost ^ | 04-01-2007 | Gil Hoffman

In her speech at a state dinner held in her honor at the Knesset Sunday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (Dem.-CA) vowed to present Israel's case to the leaders of Syria.

Her speech was uniformly supportive of Israel, and she received a standing ovation at the end.

Pelosi spoke emotionally about her meetings with the families of the kidnapped soldiers and dramatically held up the soldiers' dog tags, which she said she displays prominently at her office in Congress and she would bring with her to Damascus.

"I will send a message to the president of Syria from the families of the soldiers and from the Cohen family as well," Pelosi said, noting the presence of the families in the room. "We must counter the terrorists' vision of apocalypse and despair with our own vision of hope. International forces in Lebanon must implement the UN resolution effectively. Hizbullah must be disarmed. Iran must not be allowed to obtain a nuclear weapon."

Unless this is an April Fool's Day joke, I am speechless.

Does she pull a Yasser Arafat and give a different speech in Arabic to the "Palestinians"?

It's no joke, and you can bet that quotes or perhaps actual footage of this speech will be incorporated into Shrieker Pelosi's next campaign and/or the 'Rat general election campaign in '08.

This is nothing new, Democrats always talk a good game, when Emperor Billigula was sliming his way through the Oral Office, Democrats couldn't line up fast enough to talk tough about Saddam, about Saddam's WMD, about the need for regime change in Baghdad (and supported an actual change in law which made it official U.S. policy to overthrow Saddam), so don't be surprised by Peloser's sudden display of starch in her shorts, it's all for show, and when she gets to Syria, she'll be kissing up to Asshat and praising him as a 'Statesman'.

Wait and see.

That is yet to be seen, when she hits Syria. Wouldn't surprise me one bit to see her show another face there.

I still can't believe she said this stuff. In other words, EXACTLY what President Bush has been saying.

Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi holds up the tags of an Israeli soldier captured by Hezbollah in Lebanon last year, during her speech at an official dinner at the Knesset April 1, 2007. Pelosi addressing the Syrian leadership:

The Jews are the offspring of Pigs and dogs, we must all work together to wipe Israel from the map!

She is a Dimocarap of the Kerry variety; totally without scruples or virtue, she will tell you exactly what you want to hear and then go to your enemy and tell him the exact opposite.

So; how the hell did she get these dogtags? Are these the dogtags worn at the time of capture?

I'm sure between all of us, we can come up with a cornucopia of quotes from Pelosi bashing Bush over the Iran/nukes thing and even the Israel/Hezbollah conflict from last summer.

If (in other words, WHEN) she bashes President Bush over Iran, this quote needs to be thrown in her face 24/7.

And the terrorists' vision of "apocalypse and despair"...what a hoot! No sh*t, but you are on record now, Pelousy.

<<<still can't believe she said this stuff, there is SO much to work with it's unbelievable.

This is a heated discussion I have all the time with my best friend, who happens to be Jewish. Why are Jews overwhelmingly Dem voters?

The answer is that they know no matter who is in the White House, D or R, they will always take care of their allies.

I still don't get it and I tell him so.

In this case, this is just another example of a Public Serpent like Pelosi who has no core beliefs and will say whatever people want to hear or do whatever the majority wants in order to attain power just for the sake of power.

If polls showed 90% of the population were in favor of the Iraq War, you can bet she and Hitlery and Murtha et al would be too.

It's nice that we have representative government on small, local issues. Gov't should represent the will of the people there. But when it is a matter of life and death on a Global scale, letting polls decide your position is tantamount to treason.

I want to see a picture of her with a scarf draped over her head, talking tough to Assad.

Just saying that makes me think that she WILL drape a scarf over her head, but no pictures will be allowed - an agreement arrived at by "tough negotiations".

Pelosi’s Father Aided Jews of the Shoah

Filed by Yitzchok Adlerstein

With mounting fears in some circles that the Democratic Party’s long-standing support of Israel is perceptibly waning, we know of at least one high-ranking member for whom commitment to Jewish causes runs in the veins.

Nancy Pelosi, the incoming Speaker of the House, was born to politics. Her father, Congressman Thomas D’Alesandro, Jr, was an ardent Roosevelt Democrat who nonetheless broke with FDR, and worked to bring pressure on the Administration to respond to the plight of Nazi-era Jewry. He joined the famous Bergson group, named after its ringleader, a nephew of Rav Kook, who took a more aggressive stand on agitating on behalf of Europe’s Jews than the Establishment Jews who shunned him, and worked to undermine his efforts. (He was the instigator of the famous March of the 400 Rabbis that was rebuffed through the efforts of Stephen Wise.)

The group was ultimately successful, albeit at a late point in the war, in pushing Congress to create the War Refugee Board which played a role in the rescue of 200,000 Jews.

The full story belongs to Dr. Rafael Medoff, who heads the David Wyman Institute for Holocaust Studies, and frequently writes on matters of Jewish history.
