A strange factoid you might find interesting:”As a matter of fact, the theory of reincarnation was accepted by Christians until the Council of Constantinople in A.D. 551.”
To: Artemis Webb
This is because they cant distinguish between things that have really happened and things that have been suggested to them, Peters told LiveScience.
Sort of like socialists and other political fantasists.

Well, that IS the problem. They assume there is no such thing as reincartion (and I don’t think there is, FWIW) and then go from there, fitting interesting info into their predetermined result.
On the other hand, we all have to make a few assumptions, for instance, that we really exist. Perhaps we are all just products of someone’s mind (ok, I don’t actually believe that either, but it’s an interesting idea to mull) and so we exist as long as that person thinks about us, and then....poof....
;)

Which doesn’t sound like that much fun. I hate to think I spent time learning things only to have it all wiped off to start over....wait, that sounds a little like old age.... hmmmmm

I would think that should read, "the theory of reincarnation was accepted by
some Christians..."

Funny thing about reincarnation.
Everyone remembers being a queen or king or great general or spiritual leader. No one ever remembers being a slave, a serf, a petty criminal, or any of thousands of lowly positions in life.
Go figure.

I agree that faith through Christ provides all that is required to answer such questions.
WRT reincarnation, I do not find it to be true. This doesn’t mean the reports of such memories, which are used to justify reincarnation aren’t truly reported, nor does it imply the source of the information in the memory is from the same person they reference.
We do know similar reports of a spiritual domain, of angels, elect and fallen, and of deceiving and familiar spirits.
I suspect such memories may be caused more by either misinterpreted spiritual experience.
