It would encourage stem cell research on embryos that have naturally lost the ability to develop into fetuses, such as those that have died "naturally" during fertility treatments.

Why do I predict that, were this to pass, the number of embryos "naturally" losing their ability to develop into fetuses would skyrocket?

The same Senators who were fans of LAETRILE or who invested in some sort of government bond deal in Nigeria will vote for this one.

Didn't any of these guys ever figure out that the only outcome anyone predicts for the most advanced development possible with embryonic stem cells is the creation of stem cells that will be incompatible with the recipients?!
