.A LONG PERIOD SOUTH SWELL WILL COMBINE WITH A LARGE WEST SWELL TO

CREATE HIGH SURF AT ORANGE AND SAN DIEGO COUNTY BEACHES THROUGH
FRIDAY NIGHT. THE LONGER PERIOD SOUTH SWELL WILL PEAK WEDNESDAY
AFTERNOON THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING...WHILE THE SHORTER PERIOD WEST
SWELL PEAKS ON THURSDAY AND THURSDAY NIGHT. THIS WILL CREATE HIGH
SURF CONDITIONS FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD THROUGH THE END OF THE
WEEK. THE SURF WILL DIMINISH LATE IN THE WEEK AS BOTH SWELLS
SUBSIDE.

Imagine what happened at the end of the last major glaciation (14,000 years ago) when Antarctica began sloughing off mountains of ice chunks to trim down to it's present diminutive size.

The waves generated there would undoubtedly have devastated almost every seacoast in the world Island as well as the Americas.
