Pelosi, Lantos may be interested in diplomatic trip to Iran

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Rep. Tom Lantos, D-San Mateo, just back from a trip to Syria that sparked sharp criticism from Republicans and the Bush administration, suggested Tuesday that they may be interested in taking another diplomatic trip - to open a dialogue with Iran. ... Lantos noted that "with the speaker's support,'' he has co-sponsored legislation in the House that calls for making available to all countries -- including Iran -- nuclear fuel for peaceful purposes under international oversight by establishing a "nuclear fuel bank."

"So if the Iranian president says that he is developing (nuclear material) for peaceful purposes, we are assisting him in that process,'' said Lantos, who anticipated the legislation could pass as early as May.

Traitorous Democrats want to give Iran nuclear material for "peaceful purposes," and they want to take Ahmadinejad's word for it. Apparently they didn't learn anything from the North Korea fiasco. Or maybe they did and they actually want a nuclear armed Iran. There is no other possibility besides those two (i.e., stupidity and treason). PLEASE spread the word around about this. Maybe next election, Republicans won't stay home to teach the GOP a lesson. This country can't survive many more of these "lessons."

Let me repeat the money line:

So if the Iranian president says that he is developing (nuclear material) for peaceful purposes, we are assisting him in that process,'' said Lantos, who anticipated the legislation could pass as early as May.

Unfreakingbelievable. PLEASE LET PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT THIS. IT ISN'T SCRAPLEFACE. IT'S REAL. THESE PEOPLE ARE EITHER INSANELY STUPID OR FLAT OUT TRAITORS, AND PEOPLE NEED TO KNOW. THE MSM WON'T EXPOSE THEM, SO WE HAVE TO!

Sorry to shout, but this has my blood boiling, and it needs shouted from the rooftops to as many people as possible.

Let 'em go. Wait until they get on the ground, meet with President Tom.

Then strike at their nuclear sites, take 'em out. Bet the Queen Bee and her Drone wouldn't make it out any time soon.

Two birds, one stone.

Brilliant!

Did I miss something? The entire 2008 election process?
I thought George Bush is still the President. Why are Pelosi and the other democrats undermining the office of President? I am sure the wing-nut over in Iran is wanting to talk with her about nuclear proliferation. Not! She needs to be reigned in quickly.

The greatest evils facing the world today. #1 abortion, #2 cloning, #3 Radical Islam, #4 Pelosi, #5 Hillary, and on down the line of the democratic leadership.

They help present the face of a divided America at a time when we should stick together. Damn them for what they are doing to the future of this country.

So how exactly is their safety going to be guaranteed? Maybe the extremists will give them a pass though since they side with them more than they do with their own government.

Better yet, let's wait until they are taken to the nuke facility.

Let me also repeat this:

"So if the Iranian president says that he is developing (nuclear material) for peaceful purposes, we are assisting him in that process,"

....... ....... ....... .......

I really have no words. I am shocked that someone in a national political office with dozens of connections can be this ignorant of the situation. Even a disconnected keyboard commando like me can plainly see that Iran is just a few years away from attempting to bomb us with said "peaceful" nuclear technology.

They will be kept safe by their friends like the Hezbollah terrorists, the Palestinian’s, and every other terrorist friend they have. They don’t need Bin Laden anymore-they have Pelosi. We can stop looking for him.

Good point, but we need plausible deniability. Pelosi and Tancredo would be more entertaining enduring an Iranian show trial, don’t you think?

I'm actually thinking they would be honorary mullahs.

I like somebody else’s idea: Give them Presidential Pardons for serial violations of the Logan Act. That way, they get stained as felons without anybody having to figure out if the act applies to them.
