Sorry you didn’t find it helpful. I was just advised that a post such as yours calling my statement ignorant is not allowed.

It’s becoming unavoidable clear — that the U.S. Government has no desire to slow down the illegal immigration from Mexico.. In fact - most Federal action is pointed at legalizing or increasing movement of all manner across the borders.. The presence of an understaffed “Border Patrol”,with very limited fencing and the comical responses they put up against the invasion, is simply “eye candy” for the ignorant in America who think this is sufficient...

At the FEDERAL level - there is little incentive to halt the invasion of illegal immigrants...

The DNC sees the invasion as a bolster to their future political base and power — assuming that once the illegal Hispanic majority exists in any area - that the Gringos will be appreciated and kept in office. They won’t....

Both parties see at least short term benefits in cheap labor, payments into Social Security, eager volunteers to serve in the Military for the fast track to citizenship, etc, etc....

CITIZENS in the STATES most impacted are the folks paying the price:
1. Huge increases in the cost of Education, Medication and Incarceration of the illegal population. With the accompanying DECLINE in the quality of education, health care and safety in the communities..
2. The loss of emergency rooms, financially failing due to their abuse by illegal immigrants.
3. The costs of increased insurance for homes and autos, due to increased risk of burglary, car theft or being hit on the road by a drunk illegal alien driving a stolen car...
4. The slums and graffiti that seem to mark the “culture”.
5. The gangs and illegitimate birth rates.
6. The trashing of personal and public property by the illegal immigrants - including some serious fires of “unknown origin”.
7. The health risk to the nation, by the absence of any health monitoring on illegal immigrants -— who then get dumped in our hospitals for free treatment..
8. And on and on and on.....with all the costs and deterioration to the “culture” once known as America - that are rarely mentioned by the MSM who find no fault in this ENCOURAGED INVASION..

He has destroyed this country as we knew it. He is only a failure in the eyes of those of us who voted for him thinking he would look after our interests.

We elected an open borders globalist. We'll be lucky if our country is still here when Bush is through dismantling it. Never again!

That is, by the way, a major difference between conservatives and libs who want an all powerful central government.

Point to where anyone has called for "an all powerful central government". That's the most pathetic display in knowledge of OUR Constitutional Republic I believe I've seen, at least in a while. No, it IS one of the few FEDGUV responsibilties and they fail miserably at it. That in NO WAY relieves them of their responsibility. It is also an integral part of the oath of office that each and every one of those a$$hats in DC swore to uphold. In a bygone era (much to our demise I might add) they'd be swinging from lamp post. Get some Constitutional knowledge, lest you be thought a fool, or perhaps keep your hands from the keyboard, lest you remove all doubt. Just FRiendly advice. Blackbird.

Since the Government is not enforcing the laws and protecting its citizens, couldn’t the states take back these powers? Anyone know?

Claire, the only thing I'm negligent in is not firing the next shot heard round the world. Is THAT what you're advocating? Careful now. Blackbird.

I think you might be right and “raybbr”, wrong. I wonder at the author’s intent by the use of quotation marks where the absence of them, as in this case, would certainly render more clarity.

The chief of police in a small town near me said that when he apprehended illegals that he was told to turn loose, he would just charge them a VERY BIG bond ... they could get it back if they showed up for a hearing on the ticket (speeding , no insh ... what ever) but most of the time they would just disappear.

He knew they carry a lot of cash and figured at least that would hit them where it hurt for a little bit.
