Chaka Fattah was born to Russell Davenport and Frances Brown on November 21, 1956, under the name Arthur Davenport. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother soon remarried to a man she met at a national conference on black power in 1968. Following this conference, his mother decided to change her name to Falaka Fattah, to acknowledge her African ethnicity, and Arthur she renamed Chaka Fattah.

Chaka Fattah is an extreme leftist that should have been removed from society long, long ago, yet consistently gets a pass for whatever reason.
He will carry on the decay of Philadelphia after Mayors Rendell and Street.
Chaka Khan Chaka Khan ...
Michael Nutter is actually one of the better Philly mayor choices, along with Tom Knox.
Fattah has ties to the current corrupt mayor , Bob Brady is the Union boss. Dwight Evans has been a reasonable state rep. but has little chance.
The best choice, Republican Sam Katz- lost the last time to John Street in a race baiting fest that ensured four more years of corruption. Pay to play, ghost jobs, there’s no end.
I live in Pittsburgh and think it is run horribly (but love the city anyway) - Philadelphia has it even worse. It’s really a shame that Dems keep electing bozos.
Land of the Lost was one of the strangest shows on TV at the time - we used to watch it Saturday mornings and were completely absorbed.
I hope the real Chaka doesn’t look like this one.
El Rushbo tagged him as “Chaka-Full-O-Nuts”.
Fattah's son is about 22, but he is a partner in a major Center City restaurant, where his partners have sued him for running up a tab of tens of thousands of bucks. Fattah says his son has been an entrepreneur since he was 14.
So if you're a dem politician somehow your kid is in major business deals, and you don't need the regular type of welfare. BTW Fattah is married to a newscaster.
"There is NO SECURITY".
HELLO NUTTER, HELLO FATTAH
Tune: "Hello Muddah, Hello Faddah"
Hello Nutter, hello Fattah,
Here I am in Philadelphia;
Which of you will be my mayor?
I don't know because I am not a soothsayer.
Our fair city has its troubles,
Every year the crime rate doubles,
Crimes like murder, among others--
We're the city lacking love among the brothers.
Citizens who won't behave right,
Franklin's spinning in his gravesite;
Which of you will have the courage
To crack down on thugs and thus their crimes discourage?
But I'm guessing, if you're lib'ralish,
You'll repeat the standard gibberish:
"Guns are solely automatic;
Thuggish culture ain't the least bit problematic."
Help us out, oh Fattah, Nutter,
Get us out from in the gutter;
Clean the streets, but while you're at it, please
Don't take our sandwich with the cheese.
Help us out, oh Nutter, Fattah,
Is there something in our water,
Some fluoride that makes us act this bad?
It's like we're in Baghdad.
Dearest Nutter, dearest Fattah,
Can you help us stop the slaughter?
Can we look for law and order?
Will we have to move outside the city's border?
Wait a minute, I'm forgetting,
Democrat votes you'll be getting;
All their ballots will be jammed in--
Looks like Philly will be turning into Camden!
“Hello, Nutter, hello Fattah”
Priceless!!
“...Fattah says his son has been an entrepreneur since he was 14...”
But apparently his partners had to learn this the
hard way:-)
You should send that on to Renee at Channel 10. What a hoot! Thanks.
You haven’t seen corruption until you’ve witnessed Philadelphia democrats up close and personal. Fattah is a supporter of cop-killer Mumia Abu Jamal. Brady runs the corrput machine and should have “Meathead” tattoed on his forehead. Nutter, Evans and Knox are actually kind of normal, meaning they have no shot whatsoever. My city keeps electing these crooks. We deserve what we get, unfortunately.
Let’s hope that the “Brady Bunch”(Bob and all of his family members on the payroll) and the Fattah faction get cancelled out on election day. Knox and Nutter for the runoff is the most optimistic scenario that can be seen right now.
