Muslim woman wins headdress battle [supermarket not allow employees to wear headdress]

A Muslim woman has won her battle with a supermarket in western Sweden which informed her that she could not work there if she chose to wear a headdress.

The Ica Kvantum supermarket in Västra Frölunda has now made adjustments to its dress code following criticism from the Ombudsman against Ethnic Discrimination (Diskrimineringsombudsmannen - DO).

These people are literally coming out of the woodwork in the Twin Cities. They’re taking your credit card at hotels, waiting on shoppers at the mall, etc.

Head coverings are fine as long as they don't interfere with your job. (are islamic women alowed to have jobs?)

My objection is face coverings. When you are in public you need to be recognizable. With the exception of winter scarves outside only when the tempurature is below 0, faces needt to be visible at all times. No burqa or face scarfs ever.

I repeat, banning all religious headdress (only in public places of course, schools, drivers license) would have an enormous effect on moderating ALL religions. Badly needed IMO

Why draw the line at headdresses. Why not ban cross necklaces. Jesus Saves t-shirts. That's not moderating religion, its stifling it.

I put the line at face coverings for public safety reasons, the rest is acceptable religious expression.

We are talking about harnessing muslim extremism. Other religions could sacrifice a little in order to possibly save millions of lives.
