A large truck bomb exploded Wednesday outside the Interior Ministry in the Kurdish city of Irbil, causing dozens of casualties, security officials said.Kurdish television showed footage of a building that had been almost completely destroyed. Rubble lay in piles and long metal beams were twisted. Rescue workers reached into the wreckage to pull out one of the victims of the blast.
Windows were blown out down the street and wreckage was scattered nearly 100 yards away.

100 yards sounds like a large explosion. Think 300 feet.

Really, I mean is this not pretty much an every day occurrence? Why do we still need to see or hear about these reports? We all know that it is a freakin mess over there, so why keep reporting on the stupid bombings?
Because this time it was a Kurdish city. That doesn’t happen every day.
Thanks for the heads up. We visited the Interior ministry on our trip. The Kurds have done a great job keeping the terrorists at bay. But as President Bush says, we have to be lucky every time—the terrorists just once.
