GLOBAL TEQUILA SHORTAGE WARNING!!
To: TexasCajun
Well, CALL AL GORE! Better yet, Ted Kennedy!

The doctor said I cant drink tequila anymore. Every time I do, I break out in handcuffs.
All too true. Tequila has been the catalyst for some of my greatest adventures...or so I have been told.

Ditto here. Some years ago when tequilla sunrises were popular, I had one at a party. Woke up in my own bed the next morning, and to this day, I don’t know how I got there.

Add that to the new deforestation in Brazil and the barley shortage in Germany affecting beer prices, and rising feed prices in the US that is also resulting in higher food prices and several others....
To: G8 Diplomat
That’s funny!
Maybe we could curtail the illegal invasion by announcing that we are now rationing tortillas. They can henceforth only be eaten on odd number days.
To: anonsquared
This is funny. Anyone know the difference in soil and climate between land that is good for agave and land that is good for corn? To put it mildly....there is a difference. I call BS on this one.

Well, with tortilla prices increasing, it looks like another 20 million will have to come here.

They are all moving to Upland.

I prefer Bookers or for special occasions 23-year-old Pappy Van Winkle.

Good thing I've got two cases of Cabo Wabo Reposado (I like Sammy Hagar's tequila better than his music) in the basement. But that will only last me until Labor Day, maybe.

I was thinkin. If they are growing corn where they used to grow Agave, maybe I can grow Agave where I now grow corn.
