Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has plenty of plans for California and whether Democrats like it or not, the Republican governor is doing his best to tie those plans to his new-found friends in the other party.
In a Tuesday afternoon speech to the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, the governor praised the Democratic leadership in the Legislature early and often for their willingness to work with him on things like workers' compensation reform, last November's infrastructure bond package and the recent agreement of prison construction.
These "great, great accomplishments" wouldn't have been possible without the help of both Democrats and Republicans, the governor said.
"We've had amazing cooperation ... in Sacramento," Schwarzenegger said. "The politicians have finally realized ... that you can't be a good public servant if you're a partisan. Now I think that our politicians have become public servants, doing the things that are right for California."
This new era of cooperation has changed everything, the governor said.
"It's extraordinary how this state, how well it functions now, and how well both of the parties work together," Schwarzenegger added.
The governor's rosy, post-partisan vision received a boost from an unusual source when former Mayor Willie Brown, a Democrat once known as one of the most partisan people in California, let the rhetoric flow in introducing Schwarzenegger.
Despite serving as a Republican governor is a state otherwise run by Democrats, Schwarzenegger "has managed to dominate the dialogue about all the issues of the day," Brown said, and the effort has "stamped him as the most effective chief executive in the nation."

Hey, Arnie...
In case you didn’t notice,
NO Republicans supported your “bipartisan” programs.
This new era of cooperation has changed everything, the governor said.
“It’s extraordinary how this state, how well it functions now, and how well both of the parties work together,” Schwarzenegger added.

It’s what happens when a Trojan Horse has a giant splinter in its brain.
“...the Republican governor is doing his best to tie those plans to his new-found friends in the other party.”
Don’t call Schwarzenegger a Republican - either call him a body builder or a RINO.
I voted for him the first time- I will never vote for this piece of dung again. A low life- this is what Lord Acton knew too well- Power Corrupts and Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely. This dung eater seeks and cares only for power.
He betrayed the very spirit that he was elected for.
Sorry, but McClintock should have been Gov. All anyone had to know is Arne is pussywhipped and related to a Kennedy.
You got that one right! I wouldn’t vote for that POS again EVER!
Yep.
"My relationship to power and authority is that Im all for it," he once explained.
"People need somebody to watch over them.... Ninety-five percent of the
people in the world need to be told what to do and how to behave."-- Arnold Schwarzenegger, U.S. News & World Report, Nov 26, 1990
McClintock would have been a great Gov- too bad but the people get the government they deserve- so the ancient saying goes
But Arnold’s influence also has a dark side: Along with Jesse Ventura, he’s one of two admitted steroid users to become governor of a state. We’d never have heard of either man if they hadn’t used steroids. How do you talk about the risks of anabolic drugs with your kids or students or the athletes you coach when they know as well as you that the potential rewards include a massive fortune, worldwide fame, the governorship of our wealthiest state, and sex with a Kennedy?

Arnold and the Rats are two cheeks off the same arse.
Believe me, I know.

LOL. I am so sick of these @$$690#$ going out before the public lying about how much they care about America and its people; only to go under the thumb of ruthless animals resulting in America and its people be dammed.
