Why England is Rotting

England leads Europe in illiteracy, obesity, divorce, drug use, crime and STDs. Bloody hell

There used to be a time when taking on the Royal Navy was a bad idea. The force that policed the high seas through two world wars and protected the largest empire ever seen was for years the emblem of British national pride and pugnacity. Which is why it was particularly humiliating for many Britons to witness the spectacle of the navy's finest peddling stories about their capture a couple of months ago by the Iranian Republican Guard to the newspapers. The British had already watched televised "confessions" by servicemen, in which they criticized national foreign policy and admitted to crimes and trespasses they had not committed.

Perhaps most worrying is the alienation of large sections of the country's young people. These are people detached from society, floating free of family, jobs, education and training. NEETs, or young people "not in education, employment or training," now comprise one-fifth (1.2 million) of British 16- to 24-year-olds. In the 16 to 19 age bracket, 11 per cent are classed as NEETS, double the proportion in Germany and France -- and this despite massive spending on "welfare to work" initiatives by Gordon Brown since he declared, on taking up the reins of power in 1997, that "staying home is not an option."

Commentators scratch their heads at how so many young people are able to get away with, literally, doing nothing, when there is apparently enough work for the hundreds of thousands of eastern Europeans who have

Immigration is a panacea, isn’t it?

“And it is young people who are causing the most concern. Recent statistics showed, for instance, that at least one child aged five and under is expelled from school every week and many more excluded for offences ranging from fighting to sexual assault to drug dealing. Increasingly, but belatedly, politicians are beginning to identify the decline of marriage and the family as the major cause of this and other social dysfunctions including ill health, crime, rampant promiscuity and welfare dependency. David Cameron, the leader of a resurgent Conservative party, finds himself able to mention this publicly without being crushed by the forces of political correctness. He points out that every government statistic garnered over the past 20 years shows that families bound together by marriage are happier, healthier and wealthier, and he is promising to alter the tax system to provide incentives for marriage, fidelity within marriage, and child nurture.”

Commentators: Just for kicks factor in “you don’t work, you don’t eat”. See where that notion would take the conversation.

Any information on the demographics of the NEETS? White, black, brown, red, green or chartreuse?

‘England leads Europe in illiteracy, obesity, divorce, drug use, crime and STDs.’

But lags behind the US in all those areas.

I guess neither the US or UK can hope to compete with the socialist wonders of Canada. . . . . .

I believe it's called "the Dole" or something like that.

“This means that in any given classroom, a Somali refugee who does not speak English can sit alongside the pupil with learning difficulties who in turn sits next to one with chronic behavioural problems who “learns” alongside the gifted pupil who would benefit from a greater challenge.”

Just like here, “leave no child behind” translates into “let no child get ahead”.

The state now employs a quarter of workers in Britain, and the 900,000 hired since 1997 almost equals the fall in unemployment in the same period

I guess that is one way to keep unemployment low.

Amazing how they can write a long article on the topic and only mention ‘immigration’ once.

Two problems can be solved at once: Put all the young men in non-military uniforms. Set them to work out in the countryside under military discipline for a minimum of three years good work. If they screw up, time is added to their enlistment. If they do well, then they can apply to belong to the regular armed forces.

If the alternative to gainful employment is work instead of welfare, there will be a lot more gainful employment.

On top of everything else, a heck of a lot fewer immigrants will want to go to England, to be put to work instead of getting free money in exchange for sloth.

Everyone would be amazed at how quickly their society became revitalized, economically and militarily powerful. It could again become the dominant force in the EU.

I assume it is an attempt to throw off the readers from the obvious.

The current AMNESTY bill will make America look like England, and that’s the problem with it.

So is socialism. This list of ills corresponds to the conditions rampant on Indian reservations. That’s what happens when government takes over and supposedly takes care of everyone. Society rots.

Confront the corrupt leadership in Mexico, free the people.

I don’t believe in massive adoption, it leaves you with no way to feed yourself or the adopted. I believe in teaching others how to fend for themselves. Mexico is not a poor country by design. It is a poor third world country by choice of Mexico’s leadership.

What’s interesting is the recent right turn of the French. I wonder if it will work. France was way ahead of England in the hammock race.

America’s destiny is as teacher.

‘The current AMNESTY bill will make America look like England, and that’s the problem with it.’

How is that possible when immigration into England is a fraction of that into America?

The UK is 92.9% white anglo saxon celtic christian. 7.1% of our population are from groups not native to these islands, but many of those are third or fourth generation immigrants. Muslims make up 2.7% of our population. We have no illegal immigrant amnesty and 74% of all immigrants who arrive without permission are deported within 1 year. Immigration is declining into the UK with the exception of east european catholics, particularly Poles who are being allowed in, in large numbers. Compare those figures with the similar ones for America.

If America became more like the UK on immigration it would be a much better country.

You know why England is on this downward spiral. I’ll tell you. They have become a godless nation, which leads to moral decay, which leads to a void. A void must always be filled and now that void is being filled with Islam. When you leave the blessing of God... he will let you. He is a gentleman... Okay if that’s how you want it go ahead try it. Behold the results.

And the United States has natural resources, and sit between two fairly stable large countries that also have an abundance of natural resources. Britain is an island that depended on being a nation of shopkeepers for the last few hundred years. They just outran their resources and never figured out to be what they are... a island with crappy food and bad climate.
