As communists, the Rosenbergs undoubtedly believed that hell didn't exist.
I ma sure that they have since learned otherwise, much to their eternal chagrin...

It still pops my cork that people claimed the Rosenbergs were innocent, knowing that they weren’t.

Meanwhile, Bill Clinton and Sandy Berger walk the streets.

I say dig the communist scumbags up and zap ‘em again just on general principle.
Few people fully understand the impact of what the Rosenbergs did by helping the Soviet Union obtain America’s nuclear secrets, how many millions of people died from 1949 (the year of the first Soviet A-bomb) until Communism finally collapsed in ‘91?
The answer? Millions that didn’t HAVE to die if the Soviet Union had not been able to wield the global power and influence that becoming nuclear-capable provided to them. Yes, there is a good probability that the Soviets would have gone nuclear eventually, but the Rosenberg traitors made it happen that much sooner.

I don’t hear much about julius and ethel lately. Guess their fellow-travelers have died off or become environmentalists. It’s a damn shame a few hundred more commies weren’t executed for treason. Hiss, primarily.

Ah yes... thr good ole days when they really did execute traitors.
To: DogByte6RER
I remember sitting on the bed in my grandmother’s bedroom and listening to the news coverage of the executions. Things like that can have a profound effect on a 12-year-old boy. I remember sitting in the same place and listening to the coronation of Queen Elizabeth. Some of the happiest days of my life were in that house, spending parts of my Summer vacation from school with them.

Nowadays, people give away top secrets just to score political points and try and win a Pulitzer.

Would that every similarly dangerous traitor should meet the same fate.

A memory from the good old days when traitors were executed. Such things are done away in the post-treason age.

I remember watching the "Today" show coverage of the execution (Dave Garroway and his co-host J. Fred Muggs). Either they were doing some type of live remote from the prison or they were quickly transporting and developing film (B&W of course). I think it was film because I remember the outside shots of the prison being in darkness, with spotlights and this post says it happened at 8:00am on one of the longest days of the year.
Too bad J.Fred Muggs is gone, his knowledge and commentary on current events would make him a candidate to replace Rosie on "The View".
