Although a Bloomberg/Sharpton ticket might rattle your feathers, the Twelfth Amendment effectively prohibits a President and Vice-president from the same state; the electors from one state MUST vote for a citizen of another state for president, vice-president, or both.
Would he need the south? If he wins NY, NJ, PA, MA, CT, RI, MD, DC, IL, CA, OH, MI, WS, MN, NV, WA, OR, HI all very possible for a social liberal/fiscal conservative how much more does he need.
Well, that only matters if they actually count the votes instead of just making up some plausible-sounding total. I suspect with the Hildebeast in the campaign, the chances of that are smaller than usual. ;)
