Wonder if she carries different smiles in her purse, the one she sports now looked pasted on.

I’d rather lean toward the Sun on this one - stopped clock and all. Even the Natl Enquirer gets it right sometimes. And besides, there are too many provocative stories coming out, namely that Iran is building a missile defense system in Syria, that Iran engaged Australian sailors the same way they did the Brits (only the Aussies stood their ground and the Iranians stood down), that Iranian helicopters are violating Afghanistan airspace and sending fighters in, that the British have proof that Iran is arming so-called insurgents in Iraq, that Iran is arming Syria, arming Hezbollah, arming Hamas. The list goes on and on. I think we can draw from all this the conclusion that Iran is stirring up trouble wherever they can and that something’s gotta give sometime.

Thank you, George Bush. It’s one big happy world, isn’t it folks? Come on, lets all join in and sing one of my favorite songs....and-ah one, and-ah two and-ah....

I’d like to build the world a home
And furnish it with love
Grow apple trees and honey bees
And snow-white turtle doves

Chorus:
I’d like to teach the world to sing
In perfect harmony
I’d like to hold it in my arms
And keep it company
(That’s the song I hear)
I’d like to see the world for once
(Let the world sing today)
All standing hand in hand
And hear them echo through the hills
For peace throughout the land
That’s the song I hear
(That’s the song I hear)
Let the world sing today
(Let the whole wide world keep singing)
A song of peace that echoes on
And never goes away

(Repeat 1st stanza and Chorus)

Put your hand in my hand
Let’s begin today
Put your hand in my hand
Help me find a way

You’re kidding, right? What will they invade with? I have an idea. Let’s go bomb every single country that might possibly be a threat to us within the next 200 years. I think we should start with N. Korea, China, and Pakistan. Yes, that’s the ticket. Is that proactive enough?

“Have you considered that just bombing the hell out of everything hasn’t accomplished much for us so far?”

Seems bombing the Hell out of Iraq cut the initial war down to a matter of a few days, and each time our ground forces deem it necessary to call in air support since, problems are resolved.

The Iranians need to have their bluff called, but we need call it seriously with a plan to win, and that isn’t going to happen with “W”, and the current gang of PC’s.

The focus on being nice, making Worldwide friends, and appeasing the Socialist/Dems in favor of Globalization seems to be more important.

In what way has Iran been waging war with us?

By aiding and abetting those who attack our armed forces. In some cases, by sending Iranian personnel themselves to do so. These are acts of war against us. You can choose not to recognize them as such if you wish but that doesn't change what they are.

Going further back, Iran through Hezbollah was of course complicit in such acts of warfare against the United States as the Beirut barracks bombing. And going further back than that, the Iranian regime itself came to power amidst taking hostages on our embassy - which itself was an act of war against the United States.

Just because Bush says so?

No, not just because Bush says so. Actually, I don't even think Bush says so. I'm the one saying so, see?

I don’t see any Iranian troops in Florida.

A mind-numbingly stupid point. Suffice to say that the fact that there are no Iranian troops in Florida does not mean Iran is not waging war against the United States.

In what way has Iran been waging war with us?

Way? As in singular? Don't have a clue, do you?

Here's just one of the opening salvos:

That's the Marine Barracks; Beirut, Lebanon; October 1983; 241 American Service Men killed. The attack was carried out by Hezbollah, a terrorist group organized only a year before by Iran, and most probably acting here on Iranian orders.

That's a dead Marine in the bag. His comrades had to excavate and evacuate bodies like us often under sniper fire.

Why woould we be expected to secure the Iraqi border when we won’t even secure our own borders?

Damn right it is. But isn’t that how you change the world? That is what is being demonstarted every day by the weak American government.

Well, We are talking about the British here.

I say, let the Iraqis blow them out of the sky.

It starts when you descend into absurd hyperbole

“You’re kidding, right? What will they invade with? I have an idea. Let’s go bomb every single country that might possibly be a threat to us within the next 200 years. I think we should start with N. Korea, China, and Pakistan. Yes, that’s the ticket. Is that proactive enough?”

So how does bombing Iran get Islamic terrorists out of our country? In fact, the war in Iraq is bringing more potential terrorists into the US. Bush is admitting thousands of Iraqi refugees, and I’m sure there will be more to come.

I agree with just about everything else my fellow Freepers do, but I just don’t understand why my fellow conservatives support this insane war in Iraq. No one can even say what victory is. I heard an administration official today say that it isn’t exactly victory we hope to accomplish, but stability (whatever they mean by that). They keep lowering the bar for what they are going to call success. Is this really worth the lives of all those people?

You need to start thinking like an Iranian and less of a Westerner. You think Iran is really concerned with our reaction? We’ve already proven that no matter how superior we are to them , we aren’t going to do anything to confront them head-on. And besides.. they welcome the response.

“We do not worship Iran, we worship Allah. For patriotism is another name for paganism. I say let this land [Iran] burn. I say let this land go up in smoke, provided Islam emerges triumphant in the rest of the world. “ - Kohmeni
