“This issue of poverty is the cause of my life,” said John Edwards, the 2004 vice presidential nominee.

“That’s why I’ve devoted my professional career to impoverishing doctors and hospitals,” he continued. “I want to see the day when all babies are delivered by amateur midwives.”

I assume Thomas voted with the majority?

This Vote was a strictly the Good Guys plus Kennedy against the Bad Guys!

How sad. It sounds like the majority on the Supreme Court were niggardly with the education rights of minority students.

Perfect, ey?

Yes, perhaps so. With regard to the second word that helps define my two word freeper handle.

I took the name from an old Deep Purple album.

That's true, if you consider that what he means is keeping himself out of poverty.

You need to understand that he spends a lot of time contemplating poverty both at his sprawling compound and at his hedge fund office.

Seattle - the same school district that claims that individualism is racist. They had to take down their socalist web page due to the outrage that it caused. An excerpt from the old page:

Cultural Racism:
Those aspects of society that overtly and covertly attribute value and normality to white people and Whiteness, and devalue, stereotype, and label people of color as “other”, different, less than, or render them invisible. Examples of these norms include defining white skin tones as nude or flesh colored, having a future time orientation, emphasizing individualism as opposed to a more collective ideology, defining one form of English as standard, and identifying only Whites as great writers or composers.

Funny how the "news" doesn't mention this...

I thought bankrupting OBGYNs with phony "science" and enriching himself with their incomes was the cause of his life.

We have enough politicians and so forth working to end poverty. What we need is the people most effected by poverty working to end it.

I thought rulings of the Supreme Court were sacrosanct to the liberals. This doesn’t make any sense at all.

Interesting. When SCOTUS 5-4 votes were going the Dems way, the court was the font of all wisdom. They criticized the Right for not accepting the rule of law. Now the shoe is on the other foot and we now have the Plessy vs Furgeson or Dred Scott SCOTUS. The MSM now reports these decisions differently, i.e., SCOTUS has become a rogue outfit ruling contrary to law and the American people.

“However, it’s time for all reverse discrimination cr*p to stop”

The reason why I think the end of reverse discrimination is a long term trend is that the victims of it are no longer exclusively white. In fact, there is a well publicized case of an Indian girl suffering due to reverse discrimination. Indians being anywhere from a few shades darker than “white” to quite dark.

Just hearing the sad little lefty socialists lie, whine, and aver that capitalism, competition, grades, test scores, and no racial set asides are just toooooo tough for some Americans, should remind likely voters that none of these flackers are worth electing. None of them.
