It is strange. I expect photos of these animals by the evening.
I have no doubt the security services will be moving teams into the capital right now as they did after the 7/7 attack and more importantly their excellent work in tracking the 21/7 attempt attackers.
With CCTV; there should be a good chance to identify who was involved!
And that will in turn alert people; the cameras have worked well in this aspect and I would not mind giving up my privacy for this reason.
That is likely to be the one by Grosvenor Street.. which leads up to our Embassy, two blocks away.

I haven’t read all of the posts, but I’m trying to understand why this would have happened. It’s a bit scarey to think it was close to blowing up at that moment.

Fox News is okay but they have to rely on SKY News for most of their coverage in the UK.
Sounds like more than one person was seen running away from that car.
I hear you have tons of cameras in London, so I hope they get photos out soon.
I would think if they wanted to get the tourist, they would go after The Strand. Heck of a lot of hotels there.

I wonder if the smoke was actually the fumes from the gas building up. They are now reporting that it was set up to be detonated by a cell phone. Don’t know if there was a glitch, in the detonation or if they just did not get a chance to detonate the bomb.
When amateurs build bombs, many times they ignite and burn instead of properly going bang. This was pointed out by a fellow being interviewed a few minutes ago on the BBC.

A Scotland Yard spokeswoman said that Park Lane was closed at Marble Arch to Hyde Park Corner and a 200m cordon put in place.
It would also affect part of Oxford Street and people were being asked to leave the street but were not initially being evacuated from buildings in the area, said the spokeswoman.
Sources close to the investigation said that the Park Lane closure is linked to the discovery of a vehicle at an underground car park.
It is also believed to be linked to the investigation into the Haymarket car bomb.
At the moment it is not known if the vehicle at Park Lane contains a device.”

Just seen a shot on the bbc - looks like a van in the middle of the park - whoch I’m sure is a different shot to the one with the robot searching a veichle I saw earlier.

There’s a Moslem Community Center not far from where I am in Minnesota and Minnesota is shown as a white state, despite the many Moslems here. The police often have a presence at that “Community Center” (per how it is printed on the building) when they say their Friday prayers (name for those prayers but I forget).
Of course, Zacarias Moussaoui had connections in Minnesota, I think, he got his flight training here or something.
If you don't see pics of the perp up on the net or in the news real soon, you can bet you bottom dollar they already know who was behind this. ;oP

What he got, was the boot, because he only wanted to learn how to fly, not take off or land.
They were probably not suicide bombers (the Muslim bombers in Madrid were not suicide bombers) but were trying to get the bomb in place. An early report said the car crashed or drove into a large trash bin near the night club. If it was going to be remotely detonated, that meant they probably didn’t plan to be near it when it blew up, but perhaps the crash ignited something. If there was a crash, of course - reports, especially here in the US, are pretty fragmentary.

CBS News found the posting, which went on for nearly 300 words, on the “al Hesbah” chat room. It was left by a person who goes by the name abu Osama al-Hazeen, who appears regularly on the forum.
Al Hesbah is frequently used by international Sunni militant groups, including al Qaeda and the Taliban, to post propaganda videos and messages in their fight against the West. “

I wonder if they are worried that if they post the photos people will take it out of others of the same ethnic group.
PC is going to kill a heck of a lot of people, if we do not watch out.
