Officers carried out a controlled explosion after reports of a suspicious vehicle parked in Haymarket shortly before 0200 BST (0100 GMT).”

ARTICLE SNIPPET: “The device, consisting of 200 liters of fuel — possibly linked to a triggering mechanism — was found in a car in Haymarket, in the city’s busy nightclub and theater district shortly before 2 a.m. (0100 GMT) on Friday.”
Odd time of day to carry out a terrorist attack ...
OPINION-SPECULATION: I think it was premature.
Jihadis use a lot of dope and it could have been a nervous driver.
On the other hand...the bar was packed with the people and the car was parked near there...so...end speculation.
I think that is what they are speculating on in England.
The nightclub Tiger Tiger where the car bomb was headed had ladies night and was extremely busy. According to reports there were around 1700 people there. Could have been looking at a massive loss of life.
As I am sure you know Cindy, there have been reports before that jihadists wanted to target London nightclubs.
