Personally, I don’t believe that we should be putting people in the spotlight who have come from this psychologically-destructive background after a few months of conversion. There is a tendency in evangelicalism to make celebrities of people as soon as they become converts. But the celebrity lifestyle, including the Christian celebrity lifestyle, is also very dangerous. This gentleman needs to take a low profile and do the hard work of sanctification before being given too large a megaphone. Otherwise, we are putting too much in front of him, too soon.
