More sleaze from this morning's ABQJournal:
SANTA FE Gov. Bill Richardson has appointed the wife of a powerful state lawmaker to a $93,000 job overseeing hundreds of employees at the state's social services agency.Charissa Saavedra, wife of state Rep. Henry "Kiki" Saavedra, D-Albuquerque, chairman of the House Appropriations and Finance Committee, is scheduled to start next week as the director of the Human Services Department's Child Support Enforcement Division.
Saavedra does not have a college degree and there was no competition for the job, which is exempt from the state personnel system and considered a political appointment.
All Richardson can hope for is to be Hillary!s Secstate.
PING to NM FReepers who may have missed this...(I did)
