Mr. Richardson gave a speech and held a question-and-answer session with about 150 people at the United Steelworkers Local 105 hall in Bettendorf as part of his tour through Iowa this week.
"If you want to be part of an insurgency, I'm it!" Mr. Richardson told the crowd, getting some laughs.
Mr. Richardson said later that being an insurgent candidate meant being the underdog, he said in a phone interview with The Dispatch/The Rock Island Argus/The Leader. "I don't want to be an underdog much longer."

Ah, ok. NOW I get it. Those insurgents in Iraq, why, they’re not terrorists or anything! Silly me, they’re UNDERDOGS! And who doesn’t root for the underdog? Why, everyone does! So naturally, we should be rooting for the insurgents in Iraq, because, as I said, who doesn’t want to see them win?
Well, just about everyone in American and Iraq, that’s who. Except the Democrats. An insurgent victory in Iraq means twenty years, at least, of a Democrat majority in Washington.

Sick, isn’t it. It just proves that Democrats really do not get it. They think it’s all high school politics!
By his casual and chummy use of the word “insurgent” it demonstrates the Democrat’s astounding lack of understanding of the magnitude and seriousness of the issue at hand! It all about personal politics to them. It’s about their selfish pursuit of political power and not the fact that we are in a life and death WWIII struggle against radical Islam.
