"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus
They keep obsessing on this idea of "transitioning" what our soldiers there are doing to this (supposedly) circumscribed list of things.
Can someone explain to me what else our Congress thinks our military is doing there besides force protection, training, and counterterrorism? I'm honestly wondering.
Let's suppose this "transition" thing went into effect. What would our military have to do differently? Anything?
I just don't get why our congressmen/senators are so obsessed with creating a list of what our soldiers can and can't do there. Especially when the list they all seem to have in mind doesn't, to my eyes, really exclude anything they're doing anyway.
If we have fewer troops doesn’t that put the ones that are there in MORE danger?
These Senators, most of them are too inept to handle getting up on the floor and voting.
If I were in the military, I would be very frightened if I thought this group of clowns was going to plan strategy.
