The Chicago suburb of Waukegan, Illinois has been up in arms lately over a City Council resolution that would allow Waukegan police officers to begin deportation proceedings against immigrants convicted of felonies.

The major thrust of this story is that the immigrants and the groups supporting them are upset essentially because the city is applying a version of federal law that allows for all immigrants, legal or illegal, to be deported if they commit felonies. Imagine that, getting felons off the street...
I'm against police officers arbitrarily making false pretextual stops (Whren v. U.S.), so that concern might be valid, if it weren't for the fact that the resolution will only apply to "serious crimes", such as "murder, rape, and drug-related felonies." A noisy muffler would not seem to fall into this category.
As a side note, the Tribune staff writer also falls into the trap of calling the illegal immigrants "undocumented."

Maybe not a noisy muffler....but blaring Rap music should be a felony and everyone, including legal citizens , should be deported to Korea..maybe they can listen to Rap over there.!

Duh..I’m an immigrant ...this was the law when I came here 36 years ago...I signed forms to acknowlege that I understood that I could be deported if I committed a felony while I lived in the US...

I totally agree on that, but something even worse is spanish rap, which I had to listen to in a doctors office until I complained. But by then I had a headache that wouldn't stop.
If things were as I think they should be, the illegal entrance into the US would already be a felony offense (just as it is in Mexico for illegals there — the irony is thick). The sentence of deportation would then be assigned to all illegals.
This is so ludacris it is not even funny.
Illegal Aliens should ALL be deported. They are ALL criminals. Violent offenders should be out of here yesterday. Of course without a secure border it is a bit like pissing in the wind.

I’m pretty sick of the illegals getting their way, too. Our local library in Appleton, Wisconsin is hosting the traveling version of the Chicago Mexican Consulate through Sunday. They’re in town to distribute Matricula Consular cards to the illegal aliens. They’re even going to open the library on Sunday - just for the illegals. No taxpaying patrons, please - just people who have broken our laws and need to get a questionable ID, issued by a foreign government, to open a bank account and avoid being locked up if they’re stopped by the local police.
Local police can not deport, they can only hold and transfer to feds.

Personally I use the term “INSERGENT” for a couple of reasons:
1. That what they are and
2. I can’t spell emmagrent or aleeun or illeagle (sounds like a sick bird to me).
Since illegals are illegal,and are not suppose to be here are be driving. They can arrest then for farting if that what it takes to round them up and ship them out.
