Dinosaurs, early relatives coexisted

UC Berkeley scientists, digging deep into a remote New Mexico hillside, have discovered a trove of fossil bones that they say is evidence that dinosaurs and their early relatives lived side by side for tens of millions of years before the relatives slowly died off and left the dinosaurs to dominate the ancient world.

Until now many scientists had thought that dinosaur "precursors" -- perhaps their ancestors -- disappeared suddenly long before the dinosaurs themselves rose to prominence, but the bones dug up by Berkeley paleontologists show evidence of a different story.

The discovery of a wide variety of creatures all mingled together in layer upon layer of rocks dating from Earth's late Triassic period between 235 million and 200 million years ago, they say, shows that the strange relatives of the dinosaurs remained on the scene while the dinosaurs evolved into truly dominant creatures during the Jurassic period, between 120 million and 200 million years ago.

“Another bogus story designed to test our faith. The earth is only 9,000 years old.”

LOL!!!! You are joking... funny joke, making fun of the foolish... you made me laugh.

“Absolutely ZERO proof that we “evolved in any way. We are as we always have been.”

You aren’t really that ignorant... are you? Please say you are a liberal or some kind of insane Wahabist...

Nahh, you'd be shorter, like a Grey...

I've seen the X-Files. Every Grey who disguises himself as a human ends up looking like Brian Thompson, and he's pretty tall. Probably I'd end up looking more like a Borg — built-in high-speed internet, Swiss Army knife for a hand, and you can sleep standing up.

>>I wonder what the “Crevo’s” think when they read in Genesis chapter 1 that God created all the animals first and then Adam, or read in chapter 2 that God created Adam first and THEN created the animals.<<

I would think you have no idea how to read scripture.

Gen 2 is a closer look at the more generalized version of what happened in Gen 1. A closer reading of the detailed descriptions shows past tense when appropriate in order to give the reader understanding of the chronology.

There is no contradiction, only a deeper description. Perhaps to the one who wants to find a “gotcha!” moment in scripture it can seem to be contradictory; but to the saved Christian, who is given ‘eyes to see’, Scripture is clear.

As far a light, who knows what bending/compressing qualities occur outside our solar system nobody has been there.

So you would rather assign imaginary light acceleration forces than admit that physics show that it is very likely the universe is billions of years old?

Who knew that 18th century flood geology would become the new pseudoscience of American evangelicals.

Tokra already had several people point out that Gen. 1 and 2 do not contradict in other threads . . . Tokra is still posting it though . . . : P

I do not assign imaginary anything, I do not know as was intended by God. I do not put my faith in that of man and his knowledge of the his finite universe I put it in God. Man fails more often than not.

You believe as you will, I will pray for your enlightenment. The more science tries to disprove God the more they prove he does. Nothing happens by chance.

You do know that paleontogy does not support darwin? The missing links are still missing. We see change within families, but horses stay horses, and pigs stay pigs, etc.

I am a Christian myself, and I get so irritated with these guys running around limiting Gods power.

According to them, I'm a "monkey worshiper" who kneels at the Church of Darwin because I believe that dinosaurs lived over 65 million years ago.

Do you really worship monkeys?

Dude.

That’s ignorant. We can kill them with rocks.

Been thinking of logical arguments for the earth being older than 9,000 years....your post is excellent/the best.
I am going to steal it with your permission whenever I’m discussing this.

The more science tries to disprove God the more they prove he does.

If you have some scientific proof for the existence of God, I do wish you would share it.
