The CNN is a video. But here's the printed story to read.

http://www.katu.com/news/6121446.html

McMINNVILLE, Ore. - Two middle school boys facing sex abuse charges in connection with "spanking" incidents at Patton Middle School in McMinnville are back home with their parents after appearing in court on Tuesday. The two boys, ages 12 and 13, face the equivalent of felony sex abuse charges. In court, Yamhill County authorities said their investigation showed the boys slapped female classmates on their buttocks numerous times over the past several weeks, and poked their breasts. According to authorities, the boys were sometimes acting out a character known as 'Party Boy' from a movie based on a popular MTV television series. Two of the victims testified in court they did not feel threatened and did not want the boys punished. The judge ruled that the boys could go home pending trial, and also ordered 24-hour supervision and no contact with other kids tied to the investigation. Meanwhile, the parents of the boys are still raising concerns about how the situation has unfolded. "Without a doubt, it could have been handled differently," said Scott Mashburn. "This sounds like the school had an issue with some kids misbehaving for a long time now, but they didn't address it." "I think it was an injustice that they were holding my son for these allegations that I don't believe are true," said Sharon Holbrook.

Un-flippin' believable.

It's such a party to be rebellious and support the left but don't forget there are consequences. Consequences that will destroy your short time here.

Now I admit that I went to school a long time ago, but aren’t there two lads in this school who would stand up on behalf of these girls and give these two a good old fashioned ass whuppin?

This is an ongoing problem in many schools. My younger brothers step daughter goes to Elliot Junior High in Pasadena. She and other girls were harrassed by a pervert bully that would grab their books, arms or hands, or purses and rub them on his crotch. He thought this was pretty fun stuff.

After the administration was forced to respond to the young pervs behavor they ( the administration) told parents that the boy had been “talked too”.

Luckily for the victims of this creep, one of the parents is a LEO who has made a career of defending women and children who has been abused and exploited. She pressured the administrators to meet with her and threatened them with a lawsuit if they did not respond to the problem. So they suspended the perp. Ofcourse his parents are howling that their little darling is being singled out and is as innocent as a newborn babe.

And, all the while neither the parents, nor the school, nor any interested third-parties bothered to 'splain to the young punk exactly what it is he is not supposed to do nor why.

No doubt they hurt his credit rating.

They are busy together behind the gym.

The only difference is that they will be given Extra Credit.

I think your experience is closer to the one in the news story than a simple boy pats girl he knows on the butt.

If teens touch girls butts and breasts over and over after warning then being arrested is appropriate.

Now unfortunately schools tend to over-react. They may be liable. They tend to institute zero tolerance and soon kids can’t have normal consensual interactions.

But that’s not the fault of girls like your niece who speak up - its the fault of the school for not dealing faster with the serious cases and fault of the boy’s idiot parents who don’t seem to mind raising a sex criminal.

“Talking to” doesn’t work, unless you’ve got a child who is acting out of character, and has a little shame left in him. Crude, rude behaviour like this is the result of habit. Habits usually have to be BROKEN, as in pine board to the sitter, and not love taps, either.

I cannot believe this bull is making it’s way through the court system. The real horror in all this is that they took those boys without even letting the parents get there to adult JAIL - strip searches, men arrested for child abuse, rape, murder, drugs.........and these boys were locked up there. It is sick.

Unbelievable. In this day and age, we seem to be going backward instead of forward. It’s too bad they didn’t catch this behavior on video tape, but with several complainants to speak up, that should certainly take care of the problem. Awful. What kind of parent allows a middle school kid to watch MTV in the first place!? Such trash, as is the Simpsons and South Park and all that ilk. They watch this stuff and believe that this is acceptable behavior. Not only acceptable, admirable! Model behavior to be emulated and it’s disgusting.

That’s a whole different scenario. We have to know where the line is drawn. In this case, both the boys and girls were participating. Bottom-swatting was apparently considered a big joke at that school. The principal could’ve taught them all a good lesson with detentions or suspensions. Instead, the police were called.

There’s far worse going on in schools, and the police aren’t called at all.
