POWDER SPRINGS -- A lawyer for a woman killed along with her two daughters in Cobb County says the family fled Kenya in 2001 because she feared the girls would have to undergo female circumcision.
Immigration attorney Charles H. Kuck said that Jane Kuria left Kenya in January 2001 after the death of her husband and the destruction of their home. Kuck said that according to her political asylum application, the couple was targeted in Kenya because of their opposition to female genital mutilation.

Kenya is predominantly Christian.
There is no city and state mentioned in this piece. Where were they murdered? (A little pet peeve of mine, this info is read world wide and it’s easy to include the city and state where it is happening)
I haven’t really been following this story much, but I thought they originally suspected a murder/suicide and it was because the mother was being denied asylum. Have they totally abandoned that theory?
Although many refugees are incredibly poor, there are rich ones, too.
Actual capital flows in these turd world hellholes are poorly documented and hard (for Americans) to understand.
I lived in Newton, MA in the 1980s, and it was fairly common for Russian Jews, who had had all of their property seized before they could leave, to show up at the first day of a real estate listing and buy the property with a suitcase of $100 bills, or even in some cases loose diamonds.
The "above water; assets of Africans are only a tiny fraction of what exists.
That was when they slipped into the country, still doesn't answer where they were getting the funds for the house and etc. Since the government had already ruled against her on the bogus claim. I think they were mostly stopping the mutilation practice around 1998 to 2000. And it was made illegal in Kenya around there, but I may have it confused with another one of those places.
