Blast from the past! I took another look at this vintage clip last night. Then I looked at the individual frames. It's even funnier when you see the look on Murtha's face that accompanied his words. He couldn't even look Russert in the eye by the end...

Murtha is such a disingenuous buffoon I can’t believe his party or his wife will let him appear on TV.

Your slideshows are a classic here at Free Republic, Red.
I always look forward to them.
Murtha knew Russert had exposed him as a fool, that's why he couldn't look at Russert.
When I look at those pictures of Murtha then and the one below now, it's clear that Murtha is failing physically as well as mentally, but for whatever reasons, he can't stop himself. He's destroying himself.
Normally I would be concerned for him, but in his case I can not be. I'm far more concerned about what his words, deeds, and actions do to others.

A map shows five thousand miles between Iraq and Okinawa--none of which would grant us overfly rights. Does Murtha possess secret technology to utilize worm holes to make a ten-thousand-mile flight "quick".
Murtha wouldn't know a "murder" or a "map" if either bit him on his ass, but his sense for treason is uncanny.
