Memo to Arab MK: Like hell! Get a clue, ISRAEL has belonged to the Jews since long before mo'med was a gleam in his daddy's eye. The Almighty termed Israel a special land where He put His Name there, and especially in Jerusalem. It is the land where the patriarchs and prophets revered, loved and honored by Jews and Christians alike and is treasured because of them. To say nothing of the love and reverence Christians have because it is the land where Jesus was born, lived, died, resurrected, ascended into Heaven, and will return to. To say nothing of the love and reverence Jews have because it is the land where Messiah will come. Whatever theological differences Jews and Christians have, mister "MK", the Land of Israel does not, repeat not, belong to the Arabs. If that causes you heartburn, mister "MK", go kvetch and bellyache to the Almighty about it, because He and He Alone decreed the Land of Israel for the Jews, not the Arabs.

'Scuse the ramble, but that "MK" got my Southern up and I had to get on my soapbox.

You’re right. The primordial Hebrew people (before they became ‘Jews’) were in the region before recorded history. Most biblical scholars date the Age of the Patriarchs (Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob) at c. 2000 B.C. Mohammed died in 632 A.D. and was very much a latecommer. And he was born in Arabia not present-day Palestine. To say the Jews are ‘occupiers’ is much like saying the American Indians are occupiers. Today the Jews represent an island of progressive thought surrounded by a sea of Islamofascist fanatics. Israel is an ally, a democracy, and one of our strongest supporters (having experienced so much of it themselves) in the struggle against terrorism. They turned a tiny barren spot in the desert into a civilized nation that excells in all the arts and sciences.
